Our team of skilled systems engineers utilize 21st century technology to develop products that produce quick response and safer systems for the Warfighter.

TacOps products provide the Intelligence threat assessment into the Joint/Army situational awareness picture and deliver joint interoperability among tactical systems such as Global Command and Control System, Army Battle Command Systems, and emerging programs such as Prophet, FCS and the Distributed Common Ground Station. Our HistoryTacOps (formerly known as Austin Info Systems) is a part of Overwatch Systems committed to providing its customers with high-quality, cost-effective systems and services. Selected four consecutive years as one of Austin, Texas, 50 fastest growing small businesses, TacOps provides expertise in command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) systems, object-based C2 visualization, course of action development, knowledge-based discovery, data mining and intelligent searches, knowledge representation, software agent development, multi-band antenna product design, digital communications switching, remote radio control hardware, and Unix to Windows NT/Windows 2000 application transition. In October of 2004 Austin Info Systems became part of Federal IT. October 1, 2005, with a mission to be a world class provider of multi-source intelligence solutions, the resources of Federal IT, Austin Info Systems (AIS), Sensor Systems, and ITSpatial were combined under the name of Overwatch Systems. Austin Info Systems is now Overwatch Textron Systems (TacOps).

TacOps was awarded the Army Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase II Quality Award in 1998 for a Multi-band single-feed SATCOM system. Since its inception in 1992, TacOps has designed, developed, and fielded national and tactical information processing and intelligence products within cost and on schedule. TacOps has invested considerable IR&D, acquired technology contracts, and executed full scope development contracts to become a leader in providing information processing tools and services, from our formally fielded All Source Analysis System-Light (ASAS-L) and our Marine CORPS CI HUMINT System (CATEIS) to our system development on the Future Combat System Battle Command services.

The company succeeded in achieving a CMMI Level 3 rating in March 2005, just two short years of beginning the process improvement effort. In April 2007, as part of its continuous improvement effort, Overwatch Systems Tactical Operations succeeded in achieving a CMMI Level 5 rating.
